Thomas Hubbard

Thomas Harold Hubbard, 90, of Brevard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019. He was born in Transylvania County, North Carolina, to Leon and Maude McJunkin Hubbard. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Appless Hubbard; and his brothers Alvin Hubbard and Atmer Hubbard.

Harold loved to garden and was known for his well-kept garden. He loved to spend time at his place in the East Fork Community where he was born and grew up.

He enjoyed traveling. He served in the United States Air Force, flying in a B-17 Bomber.  He was a family man who always put his family first and a member of Carson’s Creek Baptist Church. He had a great sense of humor. He will surely be missed by all.e

Harold was a devoted father and grandfather to his children Sharon (Roger) Petit of Brevard and Ricky (Cindy) Hubbard of Brevard and grandchildren Zack Hubbard and Whitney (Curtis) Lorenz.

Graveside Services for Harold Hubbard will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Big Hill Cemetery with Rev. Chester Chappell officiating.
