Patricia Jenkins

Patricia Anne Teague Jenkins, 82, of Penrose, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. She was born in Haywood County, North Carolina to the late Walter Ray and Johnnie Louise Pless Teague. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Harvey and her half-brothers Willie and Kenny Teague.

A retired LPN and member of Temple Baptist Church, she was also a volunteer at the Transylvania County Baptist Association, the Transylvania County Prison ministry as well as the guardian ad-litem for Transylvania County.  She worked as a foster parent and was a “second-mom” to numerous students at Brevard College. Her greatest love and joy was her husband of 44 years, Clarence, and her family.

Her loving survivors include her husband Clarence; their children: Sherri Bishop (Dennis), Martin Edward Putnam (Shelly), Laurie Jenkins Hunter (Bo), Alan Jenkins (Sandy), Teresa Tripp (Jay) and Christine Holland; grandchildren: Jennifer Gardner, Haley Putnam, Corey Hunter, Terence Jeter, Cody Buchanan, Taylor Hunter and Chris Gardner; her sister, Sue Metcalf (Terry) and her half-sisters Helen Masters, Darlene Stailey and Sandy Williams and half-brother Chris Teague.

Graveside Services for Patricia Jenkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Blue Ridge Gardens of Memory in Pisgah Forest with Rev. Jason Rogers officiating.
