It is with great sadness Lyle Dean Wyant of Brevard passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the age of 81. A native of Marshalltown, Iowa, he was survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Dianne Wyant; their children; Christi Gray (Jim) of Raleigh, Shelli Hunter (Michael) of Winston-Salem and Shanda Wyant of Brevard; grandsons Scott Gray (Taylor), Chad Gray (Candice),and Bronsyn Wyant. He was the son of the late James and Lozetta Ruch Wyant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Wyant, and sister Betty Lunsford, and is survived by his siblings sister Helen Elsberry, and brother Robert Wyant.
Lyle was a United States Navy Veteran who was an instructor for simulated aviation. He later worked for Honeywell for 30 years and spent a number of years overseas. He enjoyed golf (all 19 holes), spending time on his computer, and instilling to his family the importance of education and always doing your best. He was the most loving father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed.
