Kelly Buchanan

Kelly Joe Buchanan, 77, of Brevard, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. A native of Jackson County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Aldon and Maggie Green Buchanan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Edward Buchanan and his sister Aldeana Buchanan.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his former Ecusta co-workers and was an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed driving and exploring Western North Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. He also enjoyed chatting with his neighbors and the staff and friends at David’s Garage in Brevard. He adored his grandchildren and looked forward to their weekly visits.

His survivors include his wife of 52 years, Priscilla; his son Brad Buchanan and his wife Rachel and grandchildren Aubrea Holland and Alex Buchanan.

The family will receive friends at the family home from 1-3 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 to remember Joe.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Transylvania Vocational Services, 11 Mountain industrial Drive, Brevard, NC 28712.
