James Michael "Coach T" Tschepl, 75, of Hendersonville, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Coach T was born in Wichita, Kansas to Mary Jeanne Williams Tschepl and Arthur Leopold Tschepl.
Coach T worked for 32 years as a high school coach and teacher at Benton High School, Benton, LA and Lakenheath High School on the American Air Force Base at RAF Lakenheath, England, U.K.
At the time of his passing, he and his wife Francy had retired and had been living in the mountains of Western North Carolina in the Hendersonville area for 19 years.
Coach T was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Arthur Leopold "Bart" Tschepl, Jr.. he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Francy; and his nephew Steve Tschepl of Houston, Texas; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many beloved friends, students and basketball, football and golf players.
Coach T's most important passion in life was for his love and belief in Jesus Christ. He loved his wife, his church, his family, his dear friends, his church family and his country, the U.S. A. He was especially fond of and interested in the life's pursuits of all the students and ball players he was privileged to teach and know.
Arrangements for a graveside memorial service will be held at Centuries Memorial Gardens on Mansfield Road in Shreveport, Louisiana will be announced at a later date.
