Gertrude "Tomie" Anders Morgan went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2021. Born in Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Norma Anders. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her three brothers: Vernon (Buster), Alvoid (Huger) and Coy and two sisters: Ruthie and baby Anders; her son Jerry, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

"Tomie" was a very devoted Christian who was a perfect example of an angel on earth. She lived her life always giving with little thought to self. The doors to her home were always open, giving love and care to all.

Her survivors include her husband of 67 years, William Alfred Morgan, Their children: William Jr. and wife Christy, Larry and wife Tammy, Gary and wife Lynne, Carol and wife Nancy, Norma Dale and husband Kevin, Charlene Garland and husband Jim; her sister, Lois Dotson, and brother Harold Anders. She had 23 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday June 20, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Mission Church at 100 Cemetery Rd., Pisgah Forest with Rev. Paul Raines officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm until 3:30. Interment will be at Holden Cemetery.
