Edward Savage

Edward George Savage, 88, of Hendersonville, passed away on August 22, 2019. A native of Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late Frank Arthur and Pearl Wieczorek Gecawicz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Paul Savage and his brother, Frank Gecawicz.

His survivors include his wife, Bette Yarrington Savage; sons Thomas F. Savage and James E. Savage; daughter Elizabeth E. Holloman and husband Tim; grandchildren Michael Holloman and Abigail Holloman.

A Memorial Mass for Edward Savage will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Shawn O’Neal officiating. Military honors will be provided by the North Carolina National Guard and the Transylvania County Honor Guard.
