Dianne Wyant

September 26, 1942 — June 7, 2022

Pisgah Forest, NC

It is with great sadness Dianne D. Wyant, 79, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. A native of New Iberia, LA, she was the daughter of the late Moise Joseph and Marcelite Hebert Dugas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lyle Wyant, and her sisters, Vickie Dugas and Rozetta Olivier.

Her loving survivors include her children: Christi Wyant Gray (Jim) of Raleigh, NC, Shelli Wyant Hunter (Michael) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Shanda Wyant of Brevard; grandchildren: Scott Gray (Taylor), Chad Gray (Candice), and Bronsyn Wyant; her brothers and sisters: Joy Bonin of Bishop, TX, Martin Dugas (Adele) of New Iberia, LA, and Betty Romero of New Iberia, LA.

Dianne was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  Her love for her family was evident in everything she did: creating a loving and safe home, happily baking numerous amazing treats for holidays, loved shopping with her girls, and driving hours to care for (and spoil) her grandsons (and grand dogs).

Once her girls were of school age, Dianne worked as a teacher’s aide.  The love she had for her family enabled her to love and nurture the children she cared for. She enjoyed helping them learn and play along while setting an example of how to be respectful, loving, and kind.

Dianne was the most beautiful, giving, and loving mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
