Dawn Sentelle

Dawn Denise Stamey Sentelle went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 8th at the age of 64. She was born in Transylvania County on August 25th, 1957, to Charles (Chuck) Stamey and Barbara Bryson Wilde. Preceding her in death were both parents, her son Brian Sentelle, and brother Duane Stamey. Survivors include her husband Kerry Sentelle, son Jason Sentelle, granddaughter Audrey Leigh of Greenville S.C., and brother Devlin Wilde of Tuckaseegee.

Dawn graduated from Blue Ridge Tech and worked in health care for several years before being hired by Ecusta where she worked for 23 years, retiring in 2000. She was a loving wife and mother and had a strong faith and trust in God. Dawn never met a stranger and would stop to talk or pray with anyone. She loved angels, elephants, and feeding the horses at Pisgah Riding Stables. Beach trips were one of her favorite things.

Dawn was a good friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations, with Rev. Ron Nelson officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 6 PM – 7 PM at the funeral home.
