Christopher Shawn Calaway, 50, of Brevard, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. A native of Camden, Arkansas, he was the son of Larry Dale Calaway and Linda Gale Wagnon.
Chris was a United States Navy Veteran, having served as a Chief Petty Officer. He worked both as an instructor and maintenance technician while on submarines during his 14 years in the Navy. He had a great positive outlook on life and willing to help everybody. He loved laughter and good jokes. He was also a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed classic science fiction as well as cooking. Along with his family and friends, he also loved his dogs, Connor, Murphy, Mars and Juno.
His loving survivors include his wife, Quincy L. Calaway; his parents, Larry Calaway and Linda Wagnan (John); his children: Emma Calaway, Grace Calaway, Mitchel Connelly and Hunter Alexander; his sisters Shannon Rowland and Shelly Cummings; and a host of nieces nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
Funeral Services for Chris Calaway will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the chapel of Moore-Blanchard Funerals & Cremations. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 5:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
