Anne Webb

Anne Elizabeth Middleton Webb, 76, was called home to be with her Saviour on Saturday, June 29, 2019 while at home surrounded by her family.  She was born and raised in Jackson County in the Caney Fork community of Cullowhee, she was the daughter of the late Ransom and Edna Middleton, she along with her (late) husband James Clyde Webb made the trek across Glenville Mountain to Transylvania County to move with their four small children to the Lake Toxaway, Quebec Community where they were so lovingly welcomed into the community to raise their children and call home for the past 52 years.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brothers; Harvey, Bruce and Larkin Middleton and sisters, Louise Middleton and Frances McCall, son David Webb and a special nephew who lived with her family, Ray Middleton.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon (Chuck) Bradley, Shirley (Randy) Meece and Donna Webb all of Lake Toxaway, brothers; Melvin (Patty) Middleton of Cullowhee, Ralph “Bud” (Betty) Middleton of Clyde, John (Jean) Middleton of Sylva, a special nephew who lived with her family Bruce (Sharon) Middleton, her sisters-in-love; Betty Plemmons of Mount Holly, Barbara (Tony) Mauldin of Black Mtn., Anna (Bob) Nelon of Waynesville, Wanda (Russell) McCall of Cashiers, her beloved grandchildren; Lakin (Timmy) Jones, Nathanael Meece, Charley Bradley, JT Bradley, Jesse Bradley, Sammy Bradley, Jeremy McKinney, Amber Mckinney, Shallyne Middleton, Alyssa Abrahm, Chaston Gibson, Will Gibson, Matthew Hildebrand, Hunter Hildebrand, Hayden Hildebrand, Tanner Burrell, Josh Webb and seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A long-time member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway, she loved her church and was always ready to help serve in any way needed, she played a huge role in getting the Quebec Senior Citizens Program at the Quebec Community Center started- she enjoyed her time working with the Seniors of our community.

She loved her community. She served on the PTO board at TC Henderson Elementary where her children attended, the Quebec Community Center was especially near to her heart as she served on the board and worked tirelessly for the community, the center was a gathering place on many occasions for her family and with the community.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to so many friends for their prayers and the tremendous support from the Hospice Team.

Rest In Peace mother, your family sure did love you.  A special thank you to Chuck, Charley, JT, Jesse, Sammy, Randy, Nathanael, Lakin and Timmy for sacrificial love extended during this time of caring for our momma, we love you all dearly.

A memorial service for Anne Webb will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Faith Baptist Church in Quebec with Rev. Kyle Reese officiating.
