George P. King 1942-2012

George was a licensed funeral director since 1967 with 23 of those years serving families in Transylvania County.  He was a member of First Baptist Church in Brevard.  He has two sons, Edgar and Lucian and two granddaughters, Arabella and Abigail.  He was committed to helping families and serving his community.  He will be deeply missed.

Cathleen T. Blanchard

Cathleen T. Blanchard has been apart of Moore Funeral  Home since 2005. As Managing Partner and Funeral Service Licensee it is her goal to serve the families of Transylvania and surrounding counties with the utmost integrity and dignity. She is a 1986 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. She is the first woman elected to serve as the NCFDA District 11 Director. Cathleen also enjoys being a member of the Transylvania County Civitan Club.

April has been a part of the Brevard Community for 9 years. She is married with 2 sons who are both in college. April graduated from  Fayetteville Technical Community College with an  A.A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science. She has a sincere, compassionate heart and devotes her time helping others.

Doris Brames

Doris moved to Brevard in 1974 from Homestead, Fl with her husband and youngest of three daughters. She also has one granddaughter. Doris is a member of Glady Branch Baptist Church and enjoys gardening and baking.

Charles Shipman

Charles and his wife Shirley are natives of the Brevard community. He is the father of two children and a grandfather of five. He is in charge of the softball umpires at the Transylvania County Recreation Dept. He  is a member and an active deacon  the  First Baptist Church in Brevard. Charles truly loves people and this love reflects in his service to them in their time of need.

Bill is a native of Transylvania County and has been a part of the funeral service industry for years. Bill is the pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Because of his experience in serving families, he understands the needs of the bereaved.

Nathan and his wife have a one year old daughter.  He is currently studying Funeral Service at Piedmont Technical College.  He is very passionate about serving families in their time of need.

Allen McCrary

Allen is a resident of Pisgah Forest where he lives with his wife of 37 years, Denise Johnson, who was his childhood sweetheart.  He is a 20 year veteran of the U S Air Force.  After retiring from the Air Force he worked at RFS Ecusta, in Brevard until it closed and then sold appliances for Lowes in Brevard for over 5yrs.   Allen and his family are members of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and he is a proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders. He has now joined our team hoping to extend his compassion and service to the community.
